Skreel is a new band consisting of Matt Carmichael (sax), Megan MacDonald (accordion), Fergus McCreadie (piano), Charlie Stewart (fiddle) and Innes White (guitar).
The music from their debut album blends traditional folk and jazz influences, drawing on the diverse backgrounds and interests of these musicians. The pieces range from fresh interpretations of traditional melodies to newly written material, from precise arrangements to improvisation. The unique combination of these musicians allows for the creation of an entirely new sound, both rooted in tradition and full of experimentation.
